Our 5 Pin and Floorball Provincial Championships will be held in Oshawaย fromย Mayย 14-16, 2027. More details and a formal announcement are expected in the fall.ย ย
Communities can expect to receive their 5Pin endorsements startingย mid-July. More informationย regardingย Floorball endorsements will beย communicatedย by the end of September.ย ย
Training
SOC Competition Coach Course
To help reduce barriers for volunteers completing their SOC NCCP coaching certification, Special Olympics Ontario has made the decision to offer these courses free of charge for the 2026โ2027 season.ย
During the pilot program this spring, we unfortunately experienced a number of no-shows from individuals who had registered for the complimentary courses.ย To help ensure spots are used effectively moving forward, communities will receive a list of volunteers from their community who are registered in upcoming courses. If a participant does not attend and proper cancellation notice is not provided, the full registration fee will be charged back to the community.ย
