Land Acknowledgements for Community Websites:
We acknowledge that our Special Olympics Ontario community is located on/in the traditional territory of the Atikameksheng Anishnaabek, descendents of the Ojibwe, Algonquin and Odawa Nations. We also acknowledge that Azilda resides within Treaty 61 (1850), also known as the Robinson-Huron treaty.
Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work, live and play on this land.
