Assistant Coach Position DescriptionAssistant Coach  Purpose  To provide sports skill training and competition preparation to athletes with an intellectual disability.  Qualifications  Desire to work with people who have intellectual disabilities Knowledge of sports and some experience working with Special Olympics athletes would be an asset.

Head CoachHead Coach  Purpose  To develop and implement sports skills training and competitive opportunities for athletes with an intellectual disability.  Qualifications  Knowledge of specific sport discipline Organized, independent, and self-motivated Strong Leadership skills Required to have completed the National Coaching Certification Program Special Olympics Canada Community or Competition Coach technical course within one year of becoming a coach Obtaining additional NCCP qualifications is highly recommended  Duties and Responsibilities  Sport Specific Conference Calls  Attend annual Sport Specific Conference calls as scheduled within the conference. Sport Club Manager Position DescriptionSport Club Manager Position Description Purpose: Â To coordinate, document and maintain athlete and volunteer records pertaining to the administration of the sport club. Â Minimum Qualifications/Skills Required: Â Thoroughness in record keeping and documentation. Strong administrative and communication skills. Enjoyment working with athletes with an intellectual disability. Â
