These athletes were selected from the Swim Ontario and Athletics Ontario trials events earlier this spring and summer. Each of the Special Olympics contingents will be accompanied by a Special Olympics coach.
The swimmers will compete in five events: 50m Freestyle, Backstroke and Breaststroke, and 100m Free and Back. The athletics athletes will compete in the 100m and 200m distances on the track.
The Canada Summer Games, using the motto “Once, and for all” is a celebration of youth, sport, culture and community. The Games will take place in Niagara Region from August 6th to 21st, 2022. Special Olympics Ontario wishes these athletes all the best for a successful Games!
