Denita Minoletti has been integral to the phenomenal growth of Special Olympics in Thunder Bay (SOTB) over the past 15 years. She’s been the driving force behind the development of new programs, such as Powerlifting and Bocce, and plays a critical role in recruiting athletes, coaches and volunteers. She has created and fostered partnerships with businesses, service clubs and sport organizations, raising public awareness of SOTB to unprecedented levels. These partnerships have supported and enhanced fundraising, athlete growth, volunteer recruitment, team travel and new sport development. She has coordinated with community partners to involve SOTB in extremely successful high profile local fundraising events including the Polar Bear Plunge, Conquer the Fort Mud Run and the Parade of Lights. Denita's work ethic and enthusiasm for the cause serve as constant inspiration to all those around her.
