Special Olympics Ontario is pleased to announce the incoming Board of Directors for 2020-2021.
The Board of Directors comprises of leaders from the non-profit and for-profit sector who are dedicated to the organization’s mission and strives to be a model of high governance performance with community reach and impact.
Glenn MacDonell, President & CEO stated, “We are excited to welcome our new Board of Directors who will help us accomplish our goals to ensure that youth and adults with an intellectual disability can experience growth, happiness and connectedness through sport. During these times, we are focused on raising much-needed funds to assist our athletes and families to stay connected and engaged through a range of virtual and unique sport programming.”
Special Olympics Ontario board members champion the importance of exceptional board leadership and believe that Special Olympics Ontario needs a strong and effective board to realize our mandate and mission. In addition to the standard roles and responsibilities of each board member, our board members are active advocates and ambassadors for the organization and are fully engaged in identifying and securing the financial resources and partnerships necessary to meet our operational and strategic goals.
