Team of the Year

Award Criteria

The nominated team must:

  • Be a registered team in a Special Olympics program
  • Be involved in a Special Olympics sport program(s) throughout the year
    • Be successful in their sport, doing their personal best to achieve their athletic goal
    • Exemplify the true spirit of Special Olympics
    • Display sportsmanship and be considerate of fellow teams, athletes, coaches, and officials.

Please be advised that only the team Sports of Floor Hockey, Soccer, Curling, Basketball, and Softball shall be eligible for this award.

Please complete this form by April 30, 2024. Please note that any submissions received after this date will not be considered.
Please use a separate form for each nominee. There is no limit to the number of teams you may nominate.

Please note that nominations cannot be submitted by a family member.
