Global Day of Inclusion – July 21

On Saturday July 21, join us for Global Day of Inclusion to celebrate Special Olympics’ 50th anniversary and help create a world where all people are recognized and included. Together, we can break down barriers and empower Canada’s more than 800,000 individuals with an intellectual disability to reach their full potential.

On July 21, visit your local Tim Hortons, buy Special Olympics donuts and post to social media with the hashtag #ChooseToInclude, tagging @SOOntario on Twitter or @SpecialOlympicsOntario on Facebook or Instagram, to show you believe in the power of inclusion.  Special thanks to Tim Horton’s for showcasing their support of the Special Olympics’ movement – 50 years of inclusiveness, look how far we’ve come! The Special Olympics donut was created by 14-year-old Alberta athlete Savannah Lussier! These donuts will only be available July 21. Proceeds from every donut purchased will support Special Olympics.

For Special Olympics Ontario accredited communities/programs and Law Enforcement Torch Run services and agencies: don't forget to participate in the Photo Challenge! Click here for more information on how you can #ChooseToInclude

Light Up for Inclusion:

To mark this major milestone, on July 20th, 2018, landmarks, stadiums and iconic buildings around the world will turn RED in a global act of unity.  Over 50 landmarks have been confirmed around the world.
