Blair Bastien is a multi-sport athlete from the Kitchener-Waterloo region of Special Olympics Ontario, who has been competing and participating in sporting events for 9 years now! She participates in Athletics, Basketball, Floor Hockey, Snowshoeing, Soccer and Softball. Blair’s favourite part of Special Olympics is going to events and hanging out with her teammates. She says that Special Olympics means absolutely everything to her, and that it gives her a place where she feels equal and accepted by everyone.
Blair wants to thank donors and sponsors of Special Olympics Ontario for their support and kindness, and for constantly cheering on all of the athletes! Her best memory from her time with Special Olympics was competing in the 2018 National Games in Antigonish, where she competed hard and earned a gold, silver, and bronze medal in Athletics! Blair will be returning to National competition this month, competing at the Canada Summer Games in Niagara Falls. You can find more information about the event at https://niagara2022games.ca/.
