This award is awarded annually to a high school volunteer who has made a significant contribution to the development of classmates with intellectual disabilities. This person is a strong leader, making contributions to their school’s Special Olympics programming.
This person should be a major contributor towards the success of Special Olympics in their community.
Award Criteria:
The nominee must be an Ontario High School student
The nominee has been involved with their High School Special Olympics program as a Unified Partner
The nominee must embrace their leadership role within their High School and show great promise
The nominee must be a positive role model for student athletes and for other Unified Partners
The nominee must show commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
