Coach Larry Hitchcock

2020 Special Olympics Ontario Coach of The Year!

Larry Hitchcock became involved with Special Olympics Ontario in 2005, and has been a coach in basketball, 5-pin bowling, floor hockey, golf, and softball. He feels that his proudest accomplishments happen each time one of the athletes he coaches qualifies for Provincial or National Games, as well as when he was the caddy for his son Michael when he qualified for National Games during the Provincial Games Golf event.

Through his experiences as a coach, he finds that working closely with athletes and experiencing their joy when playing and trying new sports has led to the most personal enjoyment.

In honour of National Coaches Week, we send our gratitude and thanks to coach Larry Hitchcock. Thanks to YOU, Special Olympics athletes are able to achieve their goals in both competition and in life.

Join us on Thursday, October 8th to celebrate the achievement of our 2020 Award Winners! We will be celebrating virtually and will share more information on www.specialolympicsontario.com and Special Olympics Ontario Facebook Page.
