SOC Floor Hockey Coach Course – Toronto

In this module, Special Olympics Canada (SOC) seeks to provide training and education for
Floor Hockey coaches who are working in a community or competitive sport program
environment. The Special Olympics Canada floor hockey coaching working group has worked
through a process to identify the main tasks and functions of an SO Floor Hockey coach. The
education and training provided by SOC is intended to provide the coach with the necessary
knowledge, skills, abilities and attitudes needed to coach Floor Hockey in a Special Olympics
environment.

The primary concern is to provide the best possible learning experiences for the coaches with the
focus on keeping the content extremely relevant to what the Special Olympics athlete needs in a
Floor Hockey program.

This event will run from 12-4pm at Variety Village, 3701 Danforth Ave. Scarborough, ON M1N 2G2.
