Information Technology Consultant

Job Title: IT (Information Technology) Consultant 

Tasks and Responsibilities: 

In addition to Sport and Competition, Special Olympics Ontario is responsible for the development of substantial knowledge and technology resources to support both our ongoing programmatic activities as well as the work of our program, health and research partners working with people with intellectual disabilities across the province of Ontario.  

The Information Technology Consultant  will support the demands of ongoing knowledge resource and technology development through web design, project management techniques, technology advances, and developing needed resources alongside SOO staff members. 

Tasks and Responsibilities for this position may include: 

•Web site design and maintenance 

•IT support for current systems including the Information Portal 

•Assisted development of new online communication systems and processes for SOO staff and volunteers 

•Resource maintenance and development both written, and audiovisual 

•Technology Platform Design with a particular focus on Health and Wellness Applications and the Healthy Communities Network & Platforms 

•Mobile App Development for People with ID in partnership with our Research Teams 

•Graphic Design and Layout for both Print and Online Materials 

•Video Production for Professional Development materials 

•Roll out and support of our new Membership and Donations Management Systems and our online Accident/Incident and Issues Tracking System 

•Development of e-Learning Courses and Materials 

•Administrative assistance as needed
