Green Division (Level 2 Skills) And Blue Division (Unified)  



Day 1: Lay Ups


  • Athletes will start standing in a straight line 15 feet away from the net (top of the key) on the right side

  • The first athlete will start by dribbling to the net and shooting a layup on the right side after that, they will line up on the left side (15 feet away from the net

  • The rest of the athletes on the team will repeat this; once everyone on the team has attempted a layup on the right side, the first athlete will shoot a layup from the left side

  • Athletes will have 10 minutes to score as many layups as they can as a team

  • Or have the amount of time it takes for all athletes to participate once (only if 10 minutes is not enough)

Scoring:


  • Athletes will be awarded 2 points for each successful layup basket 

  • The total number of points per team is divided by the number of athletes and this will be each team's overall score

Day 2: Dribbling & Ball Control


  • Place six cones/objects 4 feet apart from one another in a straight line.

  • Athletes will start at one cone/object and dribble the ball both in and out of each cone in a zig-zag pattern (using a cross over move)

  • Once athletes get to the last cone/object, they will repeat dribbling in the zig pattern on the way back. 

  • Repeat this step until time has run out 

  • Athletes will have 5 minutes each to complete this activity

Scoring:


  • The total number zig-zag completions in one direction will count as 1 point

  • The total number of points for each athlete will be added up together and divided by the number of athletes on each team

Day 3: Shooting


  • Each athlete will have the option to shoot from 5 different spots

  • Distances of 6 feet, 10 feet and 12 feet (6-foot and 10-foot shot points will be on both left and right sides of the net, 12-foot shot point will be from the middle of the net)

  • Athletes will have 6 minutes each to make as many shots as possible

  • Athletes can choose which spots they would like to shoot from within the given time frame


Scoring:


  • 6-foot baskets are worth 1 point

  • 10-foot baskets are worth 2 points

  • 12-foot baskets are worth 3 points

  • The total number of points for each athlete will be added up together and divided by the number of athletes on each team

Day 4: Passing


  • Standing 12 feet apart in straight line formation in 2 opposite lines facing each-other, one player on each team will start with the ball, passing it to the person across from them using a bounce pass and then follow their pass to the opposite line

  • The rest of the team will continue to pass the ball to the person opposite them until each athlete has participated once, then athletes will continue passing the ball opposite them using a chest pass and then finally an overhead pass.

  • All athletes on each team will continue doing bounce, chest and overhead passes and following their passes until time has run.

  • Athletes will have 5 minutes to complete as many passes as possible
