These results are pooled with others and divisioned as a competition, with awards distributed.<\/span><br \/>\n\t\t<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt\">Open to all registered sport clubs in the province, in the sport that the competition is offered for <\/span><span style=\"font-size:10pt\"><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt\">Coordinated by Special Olympics Ontario<\/span><span style=\"font-size:10pt\"><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt\">Athletes are scored in their events at a regular training session<\/span><span style=\"font-size:10pt\"><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt\">Scores are submitted and divisioned, with results and ribbons being distributed<\/span><span style=\"font-size:10pt\"><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt\">Encourages clubs that don&#8217;t have many competition opportunities to have their athletes&#8217; performances compared with others<\/span><span style=\"font-size:10pt\"><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt\">An inexpensive alternative to travelling large distances for competitions<\/span><span style=\"font-size:10pt\"><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt\">There is no added time commitment to the volunteers<\/span><span style=\"font-size:10pt\"><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt\">Virtual Competitions complement the club&#8217;s training plan<\/span><span style=\"font-size:10pt\"><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial\"><span style=\"font-size:12pt\">Virtual Competitions are not intended to take the place of Conference Competitions, and scores will not count \u00a0as Provincial Qualifiers<\/span><span style=\"font-size:10pt\"><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Virtual Competition \u00a0 Inspired by the school-based initiative, clubs from across the district, conference or province are invited to submit scores from a simulated competition in a training session.
