font-size:12pt\"><span style=\"color:black\"><strong>Purpose:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n\t\t<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\"><span style=\"color:black\">To ensure District Team members have a successful and fulfilling experience at the Provincial Games.<\/span><br \/>\n\t\t<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\"><span style=\"color:black\"><strong>Minimum Qualifications\/Skills Required:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n\t\t<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\"><span style=\"color:black\"><strong>District Team Manager must possess the following attributes:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n\t\t<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\">outstanding leadership abilities and ability to work as a team member<br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\">past experience in a Games environment would be considered an asset<br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\">excellent written and verbal communication skills; and,<br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\">excellent organizational and administrative skills.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\">familiar with GMS<br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\"><span style=\"color:black\"><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/span><br \/>\n\t\t<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\">Be available to attend the Provincial \u00a0Games<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\">Travel to and from Games with the District Team<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\">Maintain regular contact with District Developer, Head Coaches and the Games Operating Committee (GOC)<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\">Host team meetings and coaches meetings as needed<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\"><span style=\"color:black\">Ensure that all team members receive the Athlete\/Coach Agreement Form and \u00a0conduct themelves in accordance with the conditions outlined in Special Olympics Ontario Policy <\/span>7000-201 Travelling Teams &#8211; Roles and Responsibilities<span style=\"color:black\">, and the organization&#8217;s Code of Conduct.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\">Communicate all pre-event information regarding the Provincial Games to all team members<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\">Distribute all sport technical packages to Head Coaches prior to games<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\">Ensure all registration\/medical \u00a0forms are accurately completed by all team members and submitted to the GOC by the deadline date<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\">Distribute a copy of athlete medical forms to all team coaches<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\">Book transportation for team to and from Games in consultation with the GOC<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\">Work with the Manager of Major Games to order all team uniforms and distribute to all team members<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\">Provide packing lists to all team members which includes two days of extra medication if necessary<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\">Submit the accommodation list to the GOC prior to games<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\">Receive registration fees and uniform fees from all team members and submit to the District Administrative Team for deposit<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\">Attend all required functions at the Games, i.e. Opening Ceremonies, Awards, Presentations, etc., representing Special Olympics Ontario, your District and your Community with distinction<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\">Supervise athletes while at \u00a0the games as needed<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\">Resolve any team related issues as they arise<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\">Be on call 24 hours a day while at games<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\">Attend DTM meetings while at games<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\">Accompany team members to hospital if needed<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\">Ensure all team members have the opportunity to submit an evaluation of the Games<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color:black; font-family:Arial; font-size:12pt\">Ensure all athlete and coach evaluations are completed and submitted to SOO within two weeks of the games<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial;
