This land acknowledgement is for the Special Olympics Community of Caledon in the Greater Toronto Area District.<\/p>\n
It includes the territory of the Anishinaabek, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee, Ojibway\/Chippewa, and the Mississaugas of the Credit peoples.<\/p>\n
It is important to know that this is the traditional territory of the Anishinabek, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee and Ojibway\/Chippewa peoples; the land that is home to the Metis; and most recently, the territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation who are direct descendants of the Mississaugas of the Credit.
