We are a small group of amateur swimmers from Aurora, and this year, in celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday, we will be swimming 50KM across Lake Ontario to commemorate Special Olympics 50th Anniversary with the goal of raising $50,000; hence the “50 for 150”.
Special Olympics is dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals with an intellectual disability through sport. We’re proud to support this mission by aligning efforts with a ground-breaking event planned for the spring of 2019. The Special Olympics Ontario – International Youth Games will see over 2000 young athletes and coaches converge on Toronto for a spectacular event in celebration of this Golden Anniversary.
You can win an autographed Sidney Crosby 2010 Olympic jersey! Online auction starts Thursday, August 4th at 12:00 PM and ends Friday, August 25th. Visit the auction here: www.32auctions.com/50for150
